It’s apple season! And what better way to celebrate the arrival of fall than with some quick and easy apple desserts? Here are six delicious recipes that are sure to please the whole family.

1. Apple Crisp
Ingredients:
6-7 cups thinly sliced granny smith apples
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
6 tablespoons cold butter, cut into pieces
Vanilla ice cream (optional)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375°. In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Transfer to a greased 13×9-in. baking dish.
In another bowl, combine oats and brown sugar; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over the apple mixture.
Bake until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown, 25-30 minutes.
Serve with ice cream if desired.
2. Apple Dumplings
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 to 7 cups thinly sliced peeled tart apples
1 package (14 ounces) refrigerated pie crusts, thawed and rolled out into two 12-inch circles
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 can (12 ounces) unsweetened apple cider or apple juice, divided
Vanilla ice cream (optional)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375°. In a small saucepan, heat butter over medium heat until melted. Remove from heat; stir in sugars and cinnamon until blended. Set mixture aside.
In a large bowl, toss apples with flour. Arrange apple slices in the center of each pie crust to within 2 in. of edge. Fold up dough around apples, pleating as necessary; brush edges with water.
Pour cider into a small saucepan; heat over medium-high heat just until bubbly. Remove from heat; spoon evenly over dumplings. Pour sugar mixture over top.
Bake, uncovered, until crusts are golden brown and filling is bubbly, 30-35 minutes. Serve with ice cream if desired.
3. Caramel Apple Cheesecake
Ingredients:
2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 16 crackers)
1/2 cup sugar, divided
1/2 cup butter, melted
FILLING:
3 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 eggs, lightly beaten
TOPPING:
6 to 7 cups thinly sliced peeled tart apples
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
DIGITAL THERMOMETER CARAMEL:
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 325°. In a small bowl, combine cracker crumbs and 1/4 cup sugar; stir in butter. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of a greased 9-in. springform pan. Place on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth. Beat in flour and vanilla until blended. Add eggs; beat on low speed just until combined. Pour over the crust.
In a large saucepan, combine apples, lemon juice, cornstarch and cinnamon; toss to coat. Cook over medium heat until crisp-tender, stirring frequently. Spoon over filling; spread evenly to within 1 in. of the edge of the pan.
Place caramel ingredients in a small heavy saucepan; clip a candy thermometer to the side of the pan. Cook over medium heat until a thermometer reads 238° (soft-ball stage), without stirring. Immediately pour over the apple topping.
Cool cheesecake on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Carefully run a knife around the edge of the pan to loosen; cool 1 hour longer. Refrigerate overnight, covering when completely cooled. Remove sides of pan before serving
4. Dutch Apple Pie
Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar, divided
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
6 to 7 cups thinly sliced peeled tart apples
Dough for double-crust pie
1 tablespoon butter, cubed
2 tablespoons 2{42286f2b8be994809d8c985afc752581d6398f3a42443a8e7de8aabf4563d6c5} milk
1 large egg white
Additional sugar
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375°. In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup sugar, flour and spices; set aside. In a large bowl, toss apples with sugar mixture.
On a lightly floured surface, roll one half of dough to a 1/8-in.-thick circle; transfer to a 9-in. pie plate. Trim even with a rim. Add filling; dot with butter. Roll remaining dough to a 1/8-in.-thick circle. Place over filling. Trim, seal and flute edge. Cut slits on top. Beat milk and egg white until foamy; brush over crust. Sprinkle it with sugar. Cover the edge loosely with foil.
Bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil; bake until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly, 20-25 minutes longer. Cool on a wire rack.
5. Caramel Apple Crisp

CARAMEL SAUCE:
1 package (14 ounces) caramels
1/4 cup 2{42286f2b8be994809d8c985afc752581d6398f3a42443a8e7de8aabf4563d6c5} milk
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375°. In a large bowl, toss apples with sugar, flour and cinnamon. Transfer to a greased 13×9-in. baking dish. In another large bowl, mix brown sugar, oats, flour, cinnamon and baking soda; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over the apple mixture. Bake until topping is crisp and apples are tender, 30-35 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over low heat, melt caramels with milk; stir until smooth. Serve crisp with caramel sauce.
